I can't believe it's week 5 of my ninth transfer. First I have a few questions to ask.
1. I'm wondering if you'd send me a picture of Bill at his baptism and also a picture of a temple. I want to send him a Christmas card with those pictures in it. thanks!
2. What is Myriah's and Neeka's address(es)? I've written them letters, but they've just come back to me and I want to know why, and thanks.
Okay, so Mom wanted to know more about Charlie's baptism (as I'm sure you all do). So we met Charles one of the first days we were in Murray. He's the boyfriend of one of the members and we taught him for about a transfer before he committed to be baptized. First he was "late" to his interview, and "late" to his baptism. When I say "late" I mean he was there at the time we said he needed to be there, for his baptism he was there AT six, he had forgotten some things and Whitney didn't have her phone to call us and let us know they were running late. He also worried us when it was his confirmation day (they were late coming in), and yesterday he got the priesthood. I'm so happy for him!
Yesterday it snowed! Sister Koford wasn't feeling good either, so we stayed in the whole day. (By 6 we were told to park our cars so it wasn't that big of a deal for us, only thing is now we have two car fast days for this month! fun I love to walk.... not.)
Well, time's almost up. I gotta go. I love you all and have a good week!

Transfer 9 Week 2, November 22, 2010
Dear Familiar Units,
We've had another baptism this past week. Her name is Samantha Chilton and she’s nine years old. Sister Larson, the Primary President (and the Ward Mission Leader's wife) asked Anna, her mom, if we could come and teach Samantha the lessons. We set a date with Samantha the first lesson we had with her, and when we were planning out her program she didn't care who did what, she just wanted to be baptized. (How cool is that?) She also wanted it to be as short as it could (again so she could be baptized. Sam might have ADHD, or ADD, but she is SMART! She read everything we gave her, she drew pictures of what she had read, she was just soaking everything up like a sponge.
We had one of our investigators, who we've been trying to get to come to church, come. She LOVED it! She wants to come back next week. Ah, the miracles we're seeing. here in Murray, KY (I wanted to say Dickson, TN, MY area). I cannot wait until she and her husband, Jay get baptized. That reminds me, Bill's year is almost here, he and Renee can get sealed! Oh what joy there is in doing missionary work!
I love all of you!
Second Email
I was excited that you are excited about getting a second companion. Tell us about Sister Koford—where she's from, how long she's been out, what's her first name?
Sister Koford is a new missionary she's been out for a transfer, so this is her second one. Sister Koford is also my little sister. She's from Riverton (or some city by SLC). Her first name is Katie, and if you want to make her some labels I think she would like it, maybe for Christmas?
How are the three of you fitting in your apartment?
Well, the apartment is small. We switched rooms. The bedroom was in the smaller room and the study room is now in the old bedroom. There isn't a lot of room but we aren't as squashed as we could be.
Are you getting along well?
For the most part, yes, we are. I'm not very found of trios so I think that says a lot for how it may appear to y'all.
Do you have plans for Thanksgiving?
Yup, we're going to the Larsons for Thanksgivin' dinner.
How are the investigators?
They is good. They're progressing for the most part.
Do you still have anyone scheduled for baptism on the 30th?
Nope, it was dropped because they didn't come to church.
Does Murray get snow or just cold and wet?
It's getting cold. I don't know if it snows or not, but it does freeze over.
Did you do anything special to celebrate your one-year anniversary?
I blew fire. That was cool
Did you get the Thanksgiving card with your "present"? And I did send you the Ensign—it should arrive by tomorrow at the latest.
Yup I did and thank you for it.
Christmas gifts?
Cash and stamps, since transfers are three days after Christmas.

Transfer 1 Week 4, 11 January 2010
Questions to answer:
1. Speaking of cold, is your coat warm enough? Are you thinking about buying some boots?
2. Have you had your bike assembled yet? Any need to use it yet?
3. Have you had a Zone Conference yet? One coming?
4. How are your District Meetings?
5. What's your P-day schedule like? Where do you do your shopping and laundry?
6. Do you and your comp cook your meals together (i.e., you eat the same food) or separately?
7. Do you have a microwave oven?
8. What kind of service have you been performing for your service hours?
9. Old news, but I was wondering what you did on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
10. How are Wanda and Kelly progressing?
11. How's Bill?
12. If you've got it today, what's your apartment address? If you don't know it, maybe Sister Blackham does.
13. What was the most interesting or exciting thing that happened during the week?
Reply:
1. When I have the lining in it's very warm. When I don't it isn't that warm but is good for short bits of time. The thought for boots have crossed my mind, I already have a pair, but still I might buy more.
2. No, it's still in it's box. And so far no need.
3. No, our next Zone Conf. is on Wednesday. I can't wait!
4. District Meeting is AWESOME! Our district leader is an amazing 9-fingered Elder. His comp. came out with me. I even sat next to him on the plane from Memphis.
5. Busy. We go to Walmart to shop, though we might go to other stores. We've been doing laundry at a member’s home, but now we're in a threesome and the other sister's old apartment has a washer and dryer so we used that today.
6. Depends on the day. Usually we eat different things but there are times where we'll have a pizza and we share.
7. We do have one. It'd be a pain not to have one.
8. We do different things. My first service was helping with a wrestling building that one of the member's husband was building. (We worked for our food.)
9. Stuff. We spent the night at our place. At midnight the other sisters went to the roof. I was in bed, I did wake up but I wanted my bed more than the roof.
10. It's just Wanda Kelley. She's doing well, and can't wait until the 23rd. Our other investigator with the same date has decided to drop us. I still keep her in my prayers.
11. Bill's doing wonderful. He and his wife, Renee have a calling in the Boy Scouts. He received the PH the day after his baptism, that was pretty cool.
12. I DO have it today. (Though I did send a snail mail with it.) It's 19 South Jefferson Ave., Ste 210, Cookeville, TN 38501
13. I've fallen 3-4 times in the snow and haven't been seriously hurt, unlike the last time I fell. I finally got a letter from two of my friends. That was nice.

Transfer 1 Week 2, 28 December 2009
Questions to answer:
Did you find your check from Grandma and Grandpa?
So you had two breakfasts Christmas day; how did the rest of the day go?
How did everything go with Bill's baptism on Saturday?
Did your "grandma" companion get off to home okay?
Any people you are currently teaching, or are you in search mode?

Reply:
No, not yet. I'm still looking though.
We had dinner at an investigator's house it was really good.
Things went ok at the baptism. The water wasn't high enough so he had to be dunked twice. First time he almost hit his head, second time he almost didn't come up. Renee (Bill's wife) is really happy, they can now be sealed in a year, they're both really happy.
"Grandma" went to NC to teach her grandma the last lesson. so that she could be baptized today, she had slipped and had some coffee five days before, she won't be baptized for another two weeks. Sister Dickson won't be home until next Sunday, but I know she got to NC safely because she called last night when we were over at the Manley's (a recent convert family).
We're in both teaching people and search mode. We have one new investigator who we taught Saturday and she wants more scriptures to read, we left her with Enos that night. She called us yesterday asking for more to read.
I must get going love.

Transfer 1 Week 1, 21 December 2009
1st Email:
Hey mom, I was wondering if you'd snail mail me these poems. I don't really mind if they don't arrive by Christmas, but I'd like some sort of post because some people have been lacking in their responsibilities of writing to me weekly (you should know who).
My companion is Sister Blackham, and yes we know, black and white hehe. She's been out for about five months now. I'm her first trainee, we'll be spending Christmas with her trainer because she's leaving Saturday to the mission home and then either Sunday or Monday she'll be flying back home to Alaska. So for Christmas I'll have grandma and of course mom.
The ward we're in is very nice they keep asking me what I like about Tennessee, I've been telling them I like how green it is because in Utah everything is dead this time of year. We've had snow, but it didn't stay like it does in Utah, did you know that they'd cancel school if there's an inch of snow on the ground? Crazy, if they did that in Utah we wouldn't have school in the winter.
Besides myself and Sister Blackham there is another set of sister missionaries and they weren't going to have them. One of the sisters is a Spanish speaking sister who started her mission in Knoxville (spelled?). Our District Leader, Elder Beck recently lost one of his fingers while playing basketball. It happened before Elder Welles (Elder Beck's greenie) and I came here.
Oh. Mondays are P-days here, except for today and next Monday due to the holidays.
I gotta go, I love you all.
Lizzie.
2nd Email: One other thing
I forgot to mention that on the 26th we'll be having a baptism. I just got here and there'll be a baptism. His name is Bill and if you'll pray for him we'd all be glad and happy.
3rd Email:
